The Eyes Have It :- by Ruskin Bond
Q:- "The man who had
entered the compartment broke into my reverie."- explain.
Ans:- The given line is taken from the
short story "The Eyes Have It" by Ruskin Bond. Here he narrates an
interesting train journey where his co-passenger was a girl. They talked
normally and exchanged their views about the beauty if Mussorrie in October. When
the girl reached Saharanpur, she bade him good bye and got out of the
compartment. The train's motion started as well as he was looking out of the
window. But everything was darkness for him as he was totally blind at that
time. He was trying to guess the happenings outside of the window. He was ready
to sit after reaching his station. He was in reverie he was enjoying it.
At that time, after the girl's departure, a man entered the compartment. The narrator was disappointed because he was not as beautiful and attractive as the girl. So that he said, the man who entered broke the daydream of the narrator.
