drama "The Proposal" by Anton Chekhov, Natalya is 25 years old young
educated beautiful daughter of Landlord Chubukov. She is also expert in
household work. She wants to marry for personal interest. She is not ready to
leave her landlord attitude. Love and affection is not important to her. She is
ready to marry Lomov in order to achieve fame and enriched future. She loves
her sqizzer very much. She is love-seeker but realistic. Rolerealistic Natalya
is much more self interested woman. She is not ready to give up her superiority
either her dog or land. We can easily say that, Natalya is a character of
paradoxy in her expectation as well as reality.
