1. Read the following passage and answer the questions given below :

     You know of course that earth is very, very old-millions and millions of years old. And for a long long time there were no men or women living in it, before the men came there were only animals, and before the animals there was a time when no kind of life existed on the earth. It is difficult to imagine this world of ours which is so full today of all kinds of animals and men, to be without them. But scientists and those who have studied and thought a great a deal about these matters tell us that there was a time when the earth was too hot for any living being to live on it.

Century old kali temple is the main attraction of our village. You will see the fields full of Vegetables and paddies in our village. I'll take you to visit those places. After a long confinement in the city, ľ'm sure, You will be very happy to see the Riverside. The rural environment will refresh your mind.

     I'll be very glad if you come to our village and spend some days with us. My parents will be very glad to have you. Please do come.

8. Write the summary of the given passage :


The constable came. YouTube me by the hand and pushed me out. My luggage was also taken out. I refuse to go to the other compartment and the train steamed away. I went and sat in the washing room, keeping my handbag with me, leaving the other luggage where it was. The railway authorities has taken charge of it.

Answer : The constable pushed the passenger out of the compartment along with his luggage. After refusing to change the comportment, he sat in the waiting room with his hand bag. The railway authorities took the change of other luggage.
