(i) Why did the man want to take revenge?

Ans: The beared man wanted to take revenge on the Tsar because the Tsar had executed his brothe and seized his property.

(ii) What did the Tsar proclaim out the Kingdom?

Ans: The Tsar proclaimed throughout his kingdom that he would give a great reward to anyone who would answer of his three questions.

Ans: In "Thank You, Ma'am," Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones gives Roger ten dollars so that he can purchase the blue suede shoes he wants.

Ans: In another corner of the room behind a screen was a gas plate and an ice box.

Ans: According to APJ Abdul Kalam, his father possossed a great innate wisdom and true generosity of spirit.

(i) Where will green twig rise from?

Ans: The green twigs will rise from the healed barks and from close to the ground.

(ii) What does the phrase 'earth-cave' refer to?

Ans: The term "earth-cave" refers to the ground on which the tree's foundation is laid because it holds the roots, keeps the tree upright, and protects it from adversity such as heavy rainfall or storm.

(iii) What do the humming insects denote?

Ans: The insects are humming perhaps trying to wake the soldier from his sleep, but in vain.

(ii) "Good night! Behave yourself boy!" - she said. (Change into Indirect Speech)

(iii) Then I made a mistake. (Turn into complex sentence)

Ans: Most of the girls can't resist flattery.
