Ans:- In the short story "Karma" by Khushwant Singh, Sir Mohan Lal felt delighted to make them friends when he saw the English soldiers. He decided to welcome them and was ready to talk to the guard in this matter.

     When the soldiers Jim and Bill entered the compartment, they wanted to get him out calling him a nigger! But he was mostly alike the British people and his pronounciation was just like them. Retaining a smile on his face Sir Mohan Lal tried to proteste them. But without hearing any argument, they threw him on the platform with his luggage. Then Sir Mohan Lal realized the hard reality about them and his feet came down to the earth.
